Late Ottoman Era

1917

Palestine was partitioned into Ottoman administrative sanjaks. Coexistence supported shared multi-religious community life, with historic agricultural production (soap-making in Nablus, citrus exporting in Jaffa) driving the regional economy. Early Zionist immigration waves (Aliyahs) began during this period.

Year-aware ownership separates private land titles from sovereign control. Private ownership (e.g. Palestinian titles inside Israel or Area C) does not equate to political control or access. State land reflects the sovereign power's holdings.
