Overview
Reineh is a Palestinian town in the Lower Galilee, located near Nazareth. Before 1948, it was a small village of about 700 residents cultivating olives and grains. During the 1948 Nakba, Reineh came under Israeli control but avoided expulsion, though it was subjected to military rule until 1966 and lost agricultural land to confiscation. The town has grown to nearly 20,000 residents but faces severe overcrowding and limited services.
Historical Significance
