Overview
Rameh is a Palestinian town in the Upper Galilee, notable for its unique religious composition — it is one of the few Palestinian towns with a mixed Muslim, Christian, and Druze population. Before 1948, it was a village of about 1,000 residents. The village came under Israeli control in 1948 and was subjected to military rule until 1966. Rameh managed to avoid the mass expulsion experienced by many Galilee villages. The town has grown to about 8,500 residents and maintains its tradition of interfaith coexistence.
