Overview
Qalansawe is a Palestinian town in the central Triangle, located near Highway 6 (Trans-Israel Highway). Before 1948, it was a small village of about 700 residents cultivating grains and vegetables. The village came under Israeli control in 1948 and was subjected to military rule until 1966. The construction of Highway 6 in the 1990s confiscated significant land. The town has grown to about 23,000 residents but faces severe overcrowding and limited services.
