Overview

Al-Shuyukh is a Palestinian town located approximately 6 km northeast of Hebron city, in the eastern Hebron hills at an elevation of 965 meters above sea level. The town consists primarily of five major families and has experienced significant population growth from 1,240 inhabitants in 1945 to over 13,500 today. Since 1967, Al-Shuyukh has been under Israeli occupation, with its lands — spanning about 32 km² — subject to restrictions and encroachments by nearby Israeli settlements including Metzad (Asfar).
